Thank you for coming to visit my learning blog. This will be my last post because I am leaving this waikowhai primary school and having a break for the holiday. I have enjoyed using this blog to share my learning with you all. I hope you have enjoyed reading about my learning too.

Cybersmart game

We have been preparing to make games for a very long time. James, our cybersmart teacher has been
teaching us how to make a game. We made it by making a slide and writing the question,
Then we wrote the two answers down and they were linked to another slide that told them if it was right or wrong.Why I did this game is because I want people play games and not get bored and it is helpful for learning about cybersmart.

Room 9 and room 8 birth places

Room 9 and room 8 went on google apps and put down where they were born here is one of mine.

How far have some students travelled in their lifetime to reach Waikowhai Primary School?

Robert has travelled one thousand kilometres to get to WPS (NZ)

Why do people make the choice to move to different countries?

i came to New Zealand  so i could learn properly because in Afghanistan the learning is not really good.

Is this a trend in NZ society? What does the media tell us?
I think this is a trend because there are people from hundreds of cultures just coming in to New Zealand

People from anywhere should be allowed to go anywhere because we are all humans this video made me feel sad because all these lies shouldn't be out there because it hurts people, here is the video about it

Where do we live?

Today for cyber smart we had to get in to a document and write down where we were born.
Then we had to go into google maps then put a mark on exactly where everyone was born.
Here is an example of my one , as you can see i have put down a mark on exactly where everyone has been born.  

Doing scenarios about social media

Today for cyber smart we were doing scenarios something for example if you had a fight in the media you would have to make an scenario for e.g my own one

Gymnastics term 3

Gymnastics is a sport played all over the world. People mostly do it because they want to be flexible or get in to the Olympics. Kyle was our coach she taught us a lot of things like shapes I learnt what kids of thing you will have to do to be good at gymnastics ,we do a sport for every term last times we had taekwondo it was my favourite at that time I was all about martial arts but know I like playing soccer.

We do our Gymnastics in the school hall because we need a lot of space, why we need a lot of space is because we have different activities all over the room to do for example jumping off a spring board and do a quick gymnastics move then land in a landing shape .

Room 8 does their gymnastics on a Wednesday morning right after we have a play outside (morning tea).
 These are shapes we did, landing, rotation , manipulation, locomotion , statics and swing spring. My favourite shape was the landing shape it looks like you are sitting on a motorbike

My next step is to start running a lot and after that start stretching so my muscles can get a little fixable
so next time i do  gymnastics it will be easy. This year stretching was my goal i did fail in a lot of the stretching no all kids could stretch.

Art festival

This term we had an art festival. Each class and each student made something for the art festival.Room 9 had almost the whole of the art festival filled up, because they made huge things like planets, factories and heaps of other things. Our class made joiners this is my one.

Improving comments

Hi there
today we were doing cyber smart we were improving peoples comments.
What we had to do was to go find comments in a page that looked like this. 
Then we copy and pasted the comments and went to this page, 
we wrote the comment in the first box then we
wrote another comment in the other box but more improved like what i have done in the page on top.
We then had to go back to the blog where we got the the comment from and publish our own improved comment.

What makes a good comment?

Today we were doing cyber smart. For cyber smart we were writing about, what makes a good comment? 

We went to a little slide that had two videos, they had all the information about what makes a good comment. One of the video was from america and the other one was from the UK. They gave us a lot of information so we had a go at writing all our points on to a pad-let so other people can see on our own blogs. Some of the points they gave us, we had already covered but it was good to go over what we had learnt.

Making better posts

Hi ,
Today we had to go through our own blogs and to check what we would want to make better so it is interesting for people in the world to see. I chose the tour around my blog that one was the most important one because everyone that visits this blog must watch the video. Firstly I used the rubric that showed me exactly what to put on my new posts.

FOOTBALL ZONES

This term my favourite part was soccer zones because soccer is my favourite sport

 and I love competing with other soccer teams. I have started playing soccer 

ever since I was six years old. At the tournament we lost no games and no teams 

even scored one goal on us. I play for an actual soccer club it is called three kings united.

My Blog treaty

Hi we had been learning about a Blog treaty.

I must always show my learning, connecting with others is another thing .

Always when you do a post about your learning it might actually be helping others

and all the other things that my blog is for and what I must ensure, it is all on the treaty.
